𝐅𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐉𝐍𝐕 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝟏𝟐 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬
The farewell night of 2024 at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Lakhimpur, was a night filled with excitement, emotions, and cherished memories for the Class 12 students. The preparations and the event itself were nothing short of a rollercoaster of experiences.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝-𝐔𝐩: 𝐃𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
One month before the farewell, the boys in the hostel were abuzz with discussions about what to wear for the big night. Every evening, we would gather and debate over the perfect outfit, often staying up late into the night without touching our books. After much deliberation, we unanimously decided on wearing blazers for a formal look.
We search from Flipkart and Amazon daily, comparing suits and blazers. Each day brought new discussion about styles and sizes. Orders were placed and canceled multiple times due to sizing issues. Eventually, we settled on buying our blazers from local stores at Bihpuria —Loknath ordered from Flipkart, while I, Chiranjib, bought mine from North Lakhimpur. Interestingly, the girls also used the boys' accounts to order their dresses, adding to the camaraderie and fun of the preparations.
𝐀 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐁𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 :𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬
The day before the farewell, the boys shot a short video on the basketball ground, capturing our school memories for the farewell intro. This was a special project for us, although we had no information about what the girls were planning.
𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐝𝐚𝐲 : 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟑
The farewell day arrived on February 3. Our Class 11 juniors decorated the venue beautifully. As the evening approached, the boys prepared for a bath in the hostel, while the girls, already dressed and ready, waited for us.
Once ready, we headed to the farewell venue in pairs, our classmates girls having already made their entrance to the sound of background music.

Our juniors greeted us with farewell badges as we entered.

Just as we began to settle in, it started to rain, delaying our farewell proceedings. We made the most of this unexpected turn by taking photos in the classrooms, capturing moments amidst the rain. Once the rain stopped, our dedicated juniors rearranged the venue and ensured we were comfortably seated.
